George has consulted his cousin the pharmacist and bought a tasteless, odorless poison. The two also have plotted the details of Marvin’s demise. George gives Delores a beautiful diamond ring (which complicates things later). Newcomer Scott Phipps plays Marvin, and his characterization of the starry-eyed husband with the hard head (in more ways than one) has the audience chuckling throughout.īehind Marvin’s back, the two lovers plot to go to Hawaii and lounge on the beach. She rolls those big eyes and delivers her lines with whip-cracks or lollipops as demanded. Lawrence also is a Thibodaux Playhouse regular, and her Delores is solidly slippery. Lana Lawrence as Delores is the shapely siren with both men at her beck and call.
